I The LORD give unto you a COMMANDMENT to be a Watchman

The Watchman on the Tower

To be a Watchman on the Tower unto the people is no small assignment. It carries with it a tremendous responsibility to warn the people of impending calamities if they refuse to alter their downward course. I quote from Ezekiel in the old Testament.

EZEKIEL 33: 3 If when he seeth the sword come upon the land, he blow the trumpet, and Warn the people; 4 Then whosoever heareth the sound of the trumpet, and taketh not warning; if the sword come, and take him away, his blood shall be upon his own head. 5 He heard the sound of the trumpet, and took not warning; his blood shall be upon him. But he that taketh Warning shall deliver his soul. 6 But if the watchman see the sword come, and blow not the trumpet, and the people be Not Warned; if the sword come, and take any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at the (your) watchman’s hand.

EZEKIEL 3: 17 Son of man, I have made thee a Watchman unto the house of Israel: therefore hear the word at my mouth, and give them Warning from me. 18 When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely adie; and thou givest him Not Warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand. 19 Yet if thou Warn the wicked, and he turn not from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul. 20 Again, When a righteous man doth turn from his righteousness, and commit iniquity, and I lay a stumblingblock before him, he shall die: because thou hast not given him Warning, he shall die in his sin, and his righteousness which he hath done shall not be remembered; but his blood will I require at thine hand. 21 Nevertheless if thou warn the righteous man, that the righteous sin not, and he doth not sin, he shall surely live, because he is warned; also thou hast delivered thy soul.

God saves the Watchman & Kills the Rest

“And the Lord said unto him, Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and set a mark upon the foreheads of the men that sigh and that CRY for All the Abominations that be done in the midst thereof.
And to the others he said in mine hearing, Go ye after him through the city, and smite: let not your eye spare, neither have ye pity:
Slay  utterly old and young, both maids, and little children, and women: but come not near any man upon whom is the mark;
and begin at my sanctuary. Then they began at the ancient men which were before the house.
And he said unto them, Defile the house, and fill the courts with the slain: go ye forth. And they went forth, and slew in the city.
And it came to pass, while they were slaying them, and I was left, that I fell upon my face, and cried, and said, Ah Lord God! wilt thou destroy all the residue of Israel in thy pouring out of thy fury upon Jerusalem?
Then said he unto me, The iniquity of the house of Israel and Judah is exceeding great, and the land is full of blood, and the city full of perverseness: for they say, The Lord hath forsaken the earth, and the Lord seeth not.
And as for me also, mine eye shall not spare, neither will I have pity, but I will recompense their way upon their head.”  (Ezekiel 9:4-10)

I The LORD give unto you a COMMANDMENT to WARN the people & YOU are left without excuse

D&C 88: 77 And I give unto you a commandment that you shall teach one another the doctrine of the kingdom. 78 Teach ye diligently and my grace shall attend you, that you may be instructed more perfectly in theory, in principle, in doctrine, in the law of the gospel, in all things that pertain unto the kingdom of God, that are expedient for you to understand; 79 Of things both in heaven and in the earth, and under the earth; things which have been, things which are, things which must shortly come to pass; things which are at home, things which are abroad; the wars and the perplexities of the nations, and the judgments which are on the land; and a knowledge also of countries and of kingdoms— 80 That ye may be prepared in all things when I shall send you Again to magnify the calling whereunto I have called you, and the mission with which I have commissioned you. 81 Behold, I sent you out to testify and Warn the people, and it becometh EVERY man who hath been Warned to Warn his neighbor.
82 Therefore, they are left without excuse, and their sins are upon their own heads.

Waste and Wear Out our lives Doing What?

D&C 123: 12 For there are many yet on the earth among all sects, parties, and denominations, who are blinded by the subtle craftiness of men, whereby they lie in wait to deceive, and who are only kept from the truth because they know not where to find it— 13 Therefore, that
We should Waste and Wear Out our lives in bringing to Light ALL the hidden things of Darkness, wherein we know them; and they are truly manifest from heaven— 14 These should then be attended to with great earnestness. 15 Let no man count them as small things; for there is much which lieth in futurity, pertaining to the saints, which depends upon these things. 16 You know, brethren, that a very large ship is benefited very much by a very small helm in the time of a storm, by being kept workways with the wind and the waves.

We should Waste and Wear Out our lives in bringing to Light ALL the hidden things of Darkness

It does NOT say expose All lightness, WHY? because without darkness you would NOT know the light... (Example: I cannot tell you the danger of fire without being negative!)
New age: positive vs. negative emotional speech is found in the scriptures and is *lukewarm speech.
"
But let your communication be `yea, yea' or `nay, nay'; for whatsoever is more than these cometh of evil." Matthew 5:37

(Scripture footnote *lukewarm = Apostasy)

God doesn't have any use for paid shills.
Jesus referred to them as "hirelings" because they work for money and not out of any concern for those that they preside over.

John 10: 11 -- I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep. 12 But he that is an hireling (build churches for gain), and not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, seeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and fleeth: and the wolf catcheth them, and scattered the sheep. 13 The hireling fleeth, because he is an hireling, and careth not for the sheep (Mormon 8). 14 I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine.

Those that truly seek after God will not recognize any other voice but His. They will not bow down to any earthly authority but His.
